Hanan Welcomes "Flash" and "Turbo"

Hanan Products has always prided itself on innovation, and in recent years, that means new technology that has shifted our packing process into high gear.

The most recent “new hires” are two fast packing machines named “Flash” and “Turbo,” which were introduced to our facility in late 2021. These machines move at rapid speed, allowing us to pack products at 30 gallons per minute on each line, while generating less waste. Flash and Turbo follow in the steps of “Hugo,” a massive robotic arm that we installed earlier in 2021 to literally help employees with the heavy lifting. Hugo was named to honor a retired employee with the same name who held that job and worked at Hanan for 30 years. Capable of picking and stacking 4,000 cases per day, Hugo can meticulously stack up to eight cases per minute. 

While it’s common to think about technology replacing workers, especially in today’s manufacturing environment, that couldn’t be farther from the truth… at Hanan. We pride ourselves on employee retention, which has remained at 100 percent since the beginning of 2021. Many of our employees have worked with us for decades, which creates a close, family-like culture. Our investment in new technology enables employees to do higher level work, enhancing their quality of work-life.
