Hanan Increasing Capacity for Pre-Whipped Icing

Many businesses are still experiencing production issues due to shortages of both raw materials and staff. Thankfully, Hanan Products has seen an increase in demand for whipped toppings, icings, and fillings, especially our pre-whipped icing, Tasty Whipped. To keep up with production demands and in keeping with our commitment to innovation, we recently invested in a continuous fast-whipping machine we call Flo-Jo.

Named after the fastest woman in the world, Flo-Jo has the capacity to produce 6, 000 pounds of product per hour, while saving precious production time with automated settings. “This machine allows us to increase our capacity at a time when we need it most…” said Paul Hanan, CFO. “…our pre-whipped icing business has increased by 400% over the last twelve months and we expect it to continue to grow.” In addition to our standard whipped icing flavors (vanilla, chocolate, cookies & cream, mocha, lemon, strawberry & dulce de leche), we are expanding our line of Tasty Whipped by introducing seasonal flavors – starting with our Tasty Whipped Pumpkin Spice for Fall. We also now have the bandwidth to create custom colors on top of our stock of colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and pink.

In true Hanan character we have not replaced any plant workers with our new machinery. In fact, this addition will create another work shift, and we have hired at least 3 new employees in the last 3 months. Hanan employees enjoy seeing the upgrades because it lets them know business is doing well.

Along with Flo-Jo came other necessary modifications and upgrades to our production equipment, speeding up the entire process for more output. Arriving last month, this upgrade is the first one this year, following 2021’s fast packing machines Flash & Turbo, and Hugo, our resident robot that stacks heavy cases of product.
